About the Role
• Developing, supervising, and participating in camp-wide programming activities with campers of different ages from 6-14 years old.
• Participating in pre camp staff training workshops held prior to the commencement of camp. Staff training sessions include a comprehensive review of all safety protocols and procedures and camper conflict resolution procedures.
• Working cooperatively with other Camp Counsellors to ensure campers are safe, while maintaining adequate health and hygiene measures.
• Building relationships by showing compassion, empathy & understanding.
• Helping with Farm-to-Table meal organization prep and clean up.
• Taking roll call at the beginning and end of every activity.
• Keeping campers on schedule throughout the daily programming.
• Ensuring all campers health information is carefully noted including allergies & meds.
• Providing positive feedback for parents.
Requirements
• Previous experience with coordinating kids programs, camps
• A current first aid certificate or willing to participate in pre-camp certification
• Reference letters from previous employers
